Welcome to the Supporting Seniors in Accepting Admission and Securing Financial Aid Course!

Completing this course will prepare you to help seniors navigate the enrollment/matriculation process and the steps required to secure financial aid!

Course Learning Objects:

  • Review all recommended steps in the preparation and facilitation of 1:1 college acceptance meetings with seniors. Individual acceptance meetings are highly encouraged to ensure that students complete all steps required to successfully matriculate and secure their financial aid. 
  • Understand how to prepare for 1:1 senior acceptance meetings.
  • Understand the most important steps in the acceptance process, including reviewing financial aid awards, updating WebGrants account, registering for the UC Analytical Writing Placement Examination (AWPE), registering for CSU Early Start, AB540 documentation, continuing IEP services in college, etc.

Certificate of Completion: Upon successful completion of course requirements and feedback form, you will be able to download a Certificate of Completion for this course (noting 3 hours of professional development).
